PhD Opening at Manchester University
Studentship is available for a PhD student with experimental-fluid-mechanics background.The studentship covers all fees + maintenance for three years.Degree qualifications required
1). B.Eng from a top Chinese University;
2). Within top 10% of his/her class/department for B.Eng
3). Should have received or will receive a Master degree in 2007
Experience in experimental fluid mechanics is essential. Experience with
1). water tunnel or wind tunnel experiments
2). hot-wire anemometry or laser velocimetry
is preferred. Most importantly, she/he is willing to do experiments and to get facility/equipment to work.
Other requirements
1). a few research publications
2). a TOFEL score not less than 590.
3). received a few studentships or prizes for outstanding academic performances
