Graduate Research Assistant Openings at Purdue University:We, in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue
University, are currently recruiting highly motivated Ph.D. students
with full financial aid to conduct research in the general area of
fluid mechanics, combustion and propulsion, starting in Fall 2007 or
Spring 2008. Applicants should have solid background in thermal-fluid
science. Previous experience in experimental or computational fluid
dynamics and combustion is desirable. Priority will be given to
candidates with research experience and interests in one or more of
the following topics:
(1) Chemical kinetics, flame dynamics and instability.
(2) Development and use of alternative fuels such as biofuels.
(3) Development of micro scale propulsion devices.
(4) Plasma assisted combustion for supersonic propulsion.
