Senior Research Engineer: Two-Phase Flow Dynamic ModelingJob Description:
• Evaluate and develop liquid and vapor two-phase flow heat transfer and pressure drop and flow pattern prediction models based on understanding of the phenomena
• Provide expertise in heat transfer, thermodynamics and thermal management systems analysis.
• Control-oriented thermo-fluid system dynamic modeling, including physics-based model development, model calibration, model validation and analyses.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
• MS or PhD degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering with 0-3 year experience.
• Fluent English (both written and spoken) and excellent communication skills.
• Heat transfer and two-phase flow expertise and thermodynamic cycle analytical skills.
• Experience with vapor-compression refrigeration or power generation systems including related components: heat exchangers and compression technologies.
• Chemistry background is also acceptable
Preferred Qualification:
• MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering with 4+ years of professional experience.
• Expertise in model development software tools like Dymola, Matlab/Simulink.
• Expertise in scientific computation, especially differential-algebraic equation systems
• Experience in thermo-fluid system control development and system dynamics analyses
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Solid technical writing, presentation, project management and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills and an entrepreneurial attitude towards innovation.
