Fully-funded PhD student positions are available in Prof. Yan Wang's group at the Department of Ocean Science, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (OCES/HKUST). Research topics revolve around baroclinic turbulence over topography and eddy-mean flow interactions. Collaborations with UCLA and University of Maryland are warranted. Potential candidates demonstrating academic and research excellence in mathematics, physics, fluid mechanics and scientific computing are encouraged to apply.
