DynaCASTIM正式定名DynaCHINA(动态中国)。IEEE Pervasive Computing magazine将于10月刊登DynaCHINA特别报道(Feature Article)。IEEE是世界上最大和最著名的科学家联盟之一。这标志着DynaCHINA继DynaMIT和DYNASMART之后,其研究水平已得到国际同行的认可。

DynaCHINA: A State-of-the-Art Real-Time Traffic Estimation and Prediction System in China
The success of ITS relies on the availability of timely and accurate estimates of prevailing and emerging traffic conditions. The ability to predict future traffic is a desirable feature of ITS. As such, there is a strong need for a “traffic prediction system.” Dynamic Traffic Assignment (DTA) is a critical component of such traffic estimation and prediction systems (TrEPS). Several simulation-based prototype TrEPS, including DynaMIT and DYNASMART, have been developed. However, these systems cannot be deployed directly in China because China is a developing country and there are some unique local traffic characteristics.
In China, Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) initiated a TrEPS project in 2001. After five years of intense R&D efforts, DynaCHINA(Dynamic Consistent Hybrid Information based on Network Assignment) was developed in 2006. With DynaCHINA, a traffic bottleneck situation can be predicted, and traffic can then be directed to other routes to mitigate the congestion and to provide faster and more efficient routes for travelers. DynaCHINA enables this type of guidance to occur in real time, and therefore, to allow potential congestion situations to be addressed before they develop into serious traffic jams. DynaCHINA has four unique features: modeling mixed traffic and special driver behavior; availability of floating car data (FCD); anisotropic mesoscopic supply simulator; availability of true OD flows. Predictive capacity is the core of DynaCHINA.
The laboratory evaluation with XJTUSIM shows its potential. It is the first and the only TrEPS in China. It is a potential candidate to be used during the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Initial field deployments are being conducted at Beijing, Jinan and Guangzhou.
