Introduction to PFEM

1.Lagrangian formulation:

The position and physical properties of the particles are described in terms of the material or referential coordinates and time which is normally used in solid mechanics

2.E ective for solving free-surface flow problems:

a.  Changes in the position and physical properties as the material particles move in free-surface are easy to capture
b. Delaunay tessellation and Alpha shape method ===> mesh
c. Fractional Step Method ===>  fast iterative solver
d.  Finite calculus method ===>  stabilize the incompressible condition

3.Natural for solving solid-fluid interaction problems
