PURPOSE OF POSITION 职位目的:
The Engineering Manager will assure that the processes and procedures required to professionally manage
engineering function(technical and commercial). Will also provide strategy, analysis, and plans for new business
development considering new and projected market developments, customer requirements.
Responsible for development of lean order processes and participation in their implementation together with the balan
of engineering staff.
Responsible for overall Engineered Pump and accessory business as it relates to the critical processes. Ensures best
utilization of all available resources (Human and Mechanical).
Works closely with the VBSS (Value Based Six Sigma) team and outside in identifying, planning and directing
engineering process improvement opportunities.
Supports and shares responsibility for the efficient and effective management of the Operations team to meet
organizational goals. Work with Managers/Supervisors to ensure safety, production, cost, on time delivery, and qualit
standards are met.
Maintaining satisfactory internal and external (customer) communications and relationships while performing all duties
and meeting both company and customer requirements and expectations.
Responsibilities 工作职责:
Continuously improving OTP and efficiency of engineering processing and documentation submittal
participating in OTP improvement with operations dept.
Integrate improvement projects: Ensure projects are integrated with other business activities, improvemen
projects and business strategy including sales and marketing.
Communication: Ensure 2-way open communications throughout different departments.
Manage project initiatives, VBSS and Lean Manufacturing improvements for Nanjing plant.
Interface with Information Technology Systems on upgrading order processing and change order manager
and other departments as necessary.
Must be able to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals of
meeting customer requirements.
Manage level loading of workload and report on performance. Identify problem areas and implement
corrective action.
Ensure proper interfacing with customer service for meet the needs of external customers
Develop and maintain documented procedures for the process that assure consistent and proper control
commensurate.
REQUIREMENTS 条件要求:
Education: B.S./B.A. or above in Engineering, Industrial or Mechanic preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience: 10+ years of experience; includes emphasis on mechanic design, engineering and lean
processes; 5+ years of Supervisory experience.
Desired qualifications:
ÿ Good computer skills on AutoCAD, Pro/e, basic operation
ÿ Good English in speaking and writing
ÿ Knowledge of ERP and business systems
ÿ Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
ÿ Strong leadership & Strategic abilities
ÿ Strong project management skills
