Ph.D./M.Sc. Studentships on Direct and Large-Eddy Simulation of Turbulent Flows and Heat and Mass Transfer

Ph.D. and M.Sc. studentships are available at the Department of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Manitoba. The research projects involve the development of numerical modelling and parallel computer codes (based on the existing codes) for studying turbulent heat, mass and fluid flows within an environment with complex geometries. Successful candidates will have experience and/or interest in the following areas: turbulence theory, CFD, DNS, LES, computational algorithms, FORTRAN programming, high-performance computing with MPI, and operating systems such as Linux/Unix.
