There is only bounce-back (BB) scheme and the so-called "half-way" BB scheme is an misunderstanding. If you carry out a careful analysis, you will find that the location where the imposed no-slip boundary conditions are satisfied depends on the viscosity for the LBGK model. To completely remove this intrinsic defect of the LBGK model, you need to use the MRT model, in which certain way of inter-dependent relaxation rates must be used.
The work was pioneered by Ginzburg and others. |
