I would advise everyone not to waste too much time to read these "books" -- they won't help you to understand the LBE. You will be better off if you spend sometime to study kinetic theory and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics (there are many good monographs on the subject), CFD, and numerical analysis. There is no shortcut or free-lunch. I thought that Prof. Zhaoli Guo and his colleagues have written an introductory text on LBE, you may want to take a look at that before you read others.

I am certain that after reading Succi's book, you still don't understand the bounce-back boundary conditions. So, why bother to read it at all. Perhaps the students who have read Succi's book can tell me what they have learned from it.

It is simply TOO EASY to publish books nowadays -- so much has been published yet so little has been achieved. One has to wonder why. Based on my own experience, the books on LBE are usually very disappointing, some even contains so much mis-information -- the book on "LBE and Beyond" is a good example. The more you are intoxicated with this kind of books, the more idiotic you may become.

Why not sit down and go through some simple things seriously by yourselves?

非常感谢Luo教授的指导！Luo教授在另一篇回复我的帖子中建议我"sit  down and do some in-depth analysis"而不是“speculation”，这一点深有感触。之前不想自己去写程序，嫌麻烦，耗时，难度大，接触过关于palabos的一些东西，在上面花了不少时间，但是后来发现这个软件太深了（这个软件现在在往商业化方向发展），彻底把这软件搞明白的时间自己早就可以写一个适用自己的程序了，所以后来我就放弃了这个软件，自己写，发现效果还可以。
当然我不是排斥palabos这个软件，这些都是个人的体会，也许很多人可以把这个软件用的炉火纯青，这里的个人体会只供大家参考。
Luo教授不仅帮忙解决细节问题，还指明了方向，让后来者少走弯路，这一点真的很佩服！
