关于DnQm模型的疑问

请问大家为什么DnQm模型模拟的是不可压流体流动?因为它忽略了u^3从而u必须比较小因而mach数比较小吗?还是因为它恢复到的宏观方程和不可压n-s方程基本一致?还是因为别的原因?

To put it succinctly, the LBE (or DnQm models) is limited to near incompressible flows for the following 2 connected reasons:

1) small Mach number expansion which you alluded to;
2) the defects in the energy equation due to its discretization.

While the LBE can deal with variable density, but it cannot handle true compressible flows, i.e., shocks and contact discontinuities.

You can read the papers published by Lallemand and Luo, which can be found on my website under Publications:

As for "shocks and contact discontinuities", they are standard concepts which you can perhaps find on wiki (or other places online) or in standard textbooks on gas dynamics and compressible flows.
