残差的问题

各位前辈，小弟在看帮助手册的时候，关于残差的一段描述：“In general,  it is difficult to judge convergence by examining the residuals defined by Equation 29–4 (p. 1380)since no scaling is employed. This is especially true in enclosed flows such as natural convection in a room where there is no inlet flow rate of F with which to compare the residual”，想请教各位前辈，这里的“no scaling is employed”应该怎么翻译和理解呢？里面出现了很多次”scale"、"unscaled"
