Are there any body familiar with Maple OR Mathematica? I would like to do some analysis work for LBM structure...
But, I'm not sure which one are stronger on Einstein Summation, tensor analysis...

Thank you very much

Both would work.

Thanks, Doctor Luo,

I've checked Maple. Mainly, I used "Physics" and "Vector" Modules. However, that's quite  difficult to implement LBM analyses.  Say:
I defined 2D 2nd order tensor component (in Maple, a "parameter"): e=[1,0], and V=[ux, uy]. When I calculate the dot-production in the frame of Einstein Summation:
> e_i V_i
giving:
    e_i V_i (correct theoretically)
It seems impossible to give: "ux".

Currently, I spend much more time and effords with "Computer" than with pen-and-paper. I now do not have much courage to learn them further.....

I plan to use software (initially) based on two aspects:
1. I read Chen HD's paper (and others), there're quite much long nubers, like 1/3894703. I suppose they calculated with software, and that obviously is a fast way and gives correct results.
2. I suppose more complex calculation will be met and using software could save my time and effords.  Is it worthy of  spending time to learn the operation of such software???

Thank you again.
