    John Lee教授简介
    Dr. John H.S. Lee is currently Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Shock Wave Physics and Combustion Research Laboratory at McGill University, a position he held since 1975. His research area is in combustion, detonations and shock wave physics, and he has been carrying out fundamental and applied research in shock and blast waves dynamics, detonations, shock wave physics, gas explosions, turbulent flames, dust and liquid spray explosions, condensed explosives and material synthesis (SHS). He has published over a hundred scientific papers, review articles and chapters of books in the area of combustion, shock dynamics and explosion physics. He has served on numerous government and industrial advisory committees on explosion hazards and safety and is a frequent consultant to various industries and government organizations internationally. He is a recipient of the silver medal from the Combustion Institute (1980), the Dionizy Smolenski medal from the Polish Academy of Sciences (1988) for “outstanding contributions to the advances of knowledge in combustion and explosion process”, and the Nuna Manson gold medal (1991) for “outstanding contributions to the fundamentals and applied aspects of explosion and detonation phenomenon”. He is also a two-time recipient of the Faculty Outstanding Teaching Award (1989 and 1995). Outstanding Alumni Award of Polytech University of Hong Kong (2003). He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and is listed in the American Men and Women of sciences and Canada Who’s who.
