this kind of smoothing is based on spring-analogy.
the stiffer the spring is, the less it will deform.
spring stiffness is inversely proportional to the edge length.
probably in UDF, you can code your own spring constant factor,
to have a better control of the local stiffness of your mesh deformation.
E.g., you might want the BL mesh to be very stiff.
