MENU Mode Operation
Type M <rtn> to enter menu mode, Click File, pHi-file, Accept to load the PHI file.
To draw geometry: Click File, photoN-use, type in PATGEO <rtn>.
To draw vectors: Click Draw, vEctors, Do.
Filled contours: Click Draw, cOntours, Select the contour variable by clicking P1, then the required variable. Click Do to draw the contours.
Isoline contours: As above, but click Fill before Do.
To change view: Click View, then Rotate then click left mouse button on image and hold down to rotate view with the mouse.
Menu tutorials: Click setuP, then Tutorial. Select a case - Radial Impeller is BFC, moving van is Cartesian. Then select the required tutorial. After a tutorial session, you will have to reload the original PHI file.
COMMAND Mode Operation
Type P (to load PHI file)
Press RETURN (shown as <rtn> below) several times until Command? appears.
To draw geometry: USE PATGEO <rtn>.
To plot vectors: VEC x,y or z plane number SH <rtn> (e.g. VEC Z 1 SH will plot vectors on z 1 and will shade them)
Filled contours: CON variable name x,y or z plane number FI <rtn>, fill size <rtn> (e.g. CON P1 Z 1 FI;0.01 will plot pressure contours on z 1, The fill size was 0.01)
Isoline contours: CON variable name x,y or z plane number SH <rtn>, range and interval <rtn> (e.g. CON P1 Z 1 SH;INT 14 will draw isobars and shade them. Here the interval has been set to 14, the range will be the default whole range)
To change view: VIEW view vector or x,y or z (e.g. VIEW Z will view from the z-direction VIEW 1 1 1 provides an isometric view)
N.B. A semicolon can be used to separate more than one command on a single line.
