CALL FOR PAPERS
As a result of a proposal put to CHAM at the recent Phoenics User Conference in Moscow, ACADS-BSG, CHAM's agent in Australia, has won the right to stage the next International PHOENICS User Conference in Melbourne in May 2004. This will be the first time the PHOENICS User Conference has been held in the Southern Hemisphere and will provide users from Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia a wonderful opportunity to meet with other users from all around the world and to discuss their particular application with PHOENICS experts.
The Conference will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre in Melbourne on Monday 3rd to Wednesday 5th May to coincide with the Australian Air Conditioning Refrigeration and Building Services 2004 Exhibition, the biggest HVAC trade show in the Southern Hemisphere. All conference participants will be allowed free entry to this exhibition which is not open to the general public. The conference will be followed by two one day workshops on PHOENICS and FLAIR. Day one (Thursday 6th May) will be for new and novice users and Day two (Friday 7th May) will be an advanced workshop for existing users or people who have attended the day 1 workshop.
There will be also be a social programme for accompanying persons for those of you who would like to bring your families.

I hope you all safely received the information I sent to you, by email , regarding the forthcoming PHOENICS User Conference to be held in Australia next year.  As you know, the 3-day conference has been planned around the ARBS Conference which is the main exhibition for the Australian Air Conditioning and Building Service Industry.  Attendance to the PHOENICS Conference will also entitle free entry into the ARBS Exhibition which is not open to the general public, but by entrance invitation only.  The conference will be followed by a two one-day workshops on PHOENICS and FLAIR; the first day specifically designed for new and novice users; the second, an advanced workshop for existing users or for those who have attended the day 1 workshop.
ACADS-BSG, CHAM's Australian agent, has gone to a lot of trouble with the arrangements for this conference, and accompanying person's programme (see files sent earlier) and attendance from the home country is looking good.  Therefore, I do hope that you will all do your best to support them in this endeavour by encouraging as many participants as you can from your own territory.
I would like to thank those of you who have already promised abstracts, and remind you to please send them as soon as possible so that the titles  can be included in the initial programme.  For those of you who have not yet responded, please do try and do your best to supply a paper for presentation for the conference.  Poster presentations are also welcome.
